Bad Girls Club: Twisted Sisters

For the 15th season of Oxygen’s The Bad Girls Club, the network wanted to do something different. Not only to celebrate the 15th season mark, but also to “elevate” the series moving forward.

From the animator: “I was sitting here late one night, trying to figure out what would cut through all the noise. With no luck, staring into the endless abyss of my computer screen, I went to the movies. At the time, 007: Spectre was in theaters. In the middle of the opening sequence, I had an epiphany! ‘I can do a James Bond open!’ Throughout the film, ideas soared through my mind. I immediately went back to my computer and started drawing up style frames. I edited together a quick montage (with some uncleared music) to get across the idea and sent it to my co-producer - she was ecstatic. The next morning, I reached out to the Music Supervisor of the show, Peter Davis, and asked if he could find a musician that could write a “James Bond-esque song about the Bad Girls Club.” He didn’t even bat an eye and had someone by the end of the day … Paris Carney. We all got on the same thread together and hashed out all the common themes throughout the series of Bad Girls Club. Paris immediately started coming up with what would be the most perfect song for this cold open. I then buried myself in my computer and didn’t come up until it was done. We put it all together and everyone celebrated. We knew we had something special.
